Hi All,
I did a softmod about a week ago. and nuked my c drive on my xbox while trying to restore. for some reason when i changed my skin on xbmc it would not play divx movies any more. (thats another story.) anyways in the process of reloading I formated my c drive and then did a reboot. Upon reboot my flubber came up and then I got the xbox needs service message and the fraging display. anyways I did not back up my eeprom and lock codes yet, so i thought I was out of luck. I tired to run the explot again, but with no files on the hard drive there was nothing to exploit. I tried the hot swap tutioral and could not get the drive to unlock, I think the error message happened before the hard drive got unlocked. anyways I tried to rebuild another hard drive with the xboxhdm 1.9 and the ms dash files from Pirrup and build another hard drive, and unlock it with the live info files. Anyways that did not work on my hard drive it was frozen by my p4 gateway. (and the bios trick did not work.) I ended up trying another computer and it did not freeze the drive. I then tried to lock the drive with the lock code live info gave me, but that did not work in my xbox. I could load games with the old hard drive and not the new one. so I figured out that the hard drive was unlocking during game play. So then I put the hot swap to the the test and it worked good. Thanks to everyone for there files and incite in this forum. Thanks Pirrup for hot swap info and ms dash files. _________________ da G Man!

Yeah, saved my butt twice in one day. I found a pre-played Halo SE at the local game shop a couple days ago. The first time I ran AID things went fine. I went back to install some apps and emus and things got buggy. I think the xbox was having trouble reading from the CD-RW I burned the iso on. It'd freeze for long periods of time (music stopping and skipping too), then started giving exstraction errors.
Long story short, I had to hotswap the drive to get it going again....tried AID again with the same effect.....I guess I need to burn it to some other type of media. Any way to burn a CD ISO to DVD?
Thanks for the great work guys!

Try using a DVD+R, its rare to find an Xbox that reads a CD-RW. Also use a program like DVD Decryptor to burn the ISO to the DVD. It allows you to choose a slow burn speed(2X) which will make it easier for the Xbox to read the disc. Hope that helps.
Found me answer! Thanks once again! lol
