AID is definitely the best auto installer out there ... up until about 3 months ago, I had only used Slayers ... but when I made the switch, I haven't looked back. I've already played with severl configurations on 2 different xboxes ...
just wanted to tip my hat to you guys and say thanks for the GREAT WORK!!!
as a side question though ... when do you think AID 3.0 will be available? I'm just curious as I'm working on a couple of systems - setting them up a media centers for a friend and one for my brother. Wouldn't mind checking out 3.0 so I don't have to run around for a bunch of updates!
ohhh ... and last question about XBMC updating ... I extracted the Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v2.11.Final.Xbox-Hq ISO file using QWIX and replaced the XBMC.ZIP file in the ./files/apps folder ... then created the iso file again in QWIX ... but when I tried to install XBMC I got an error message during the install. did I do something wrong?

3.0 is already late in the beta versions, but i heard there may be delay but i'm not sure on the cause. hope its not cause some of the beta testers haven't been able to do as much testing as they should have been doing

if you want to experiment with disc installers, i recomend getting DISC.ISO from the VIP area.
It's my perosnal build, and it's a good disc, doesn't feature same like AID, but ppl have fall in love with it _________________ Xbox v1.1

Hehe it doesn't take ppl long to convert from slayers after having a taste of AID. Thanks for your kind words.
XBMC is a bitch to manualy update in AID, because you firstly have the app itself, then all the different configuration files that I have set up for it.
I dunno if nknave's disc has a newer version, I'm assuming so hehe.

The delay might not be long, I'm only really waiting on one thing and just keeping an eye out that nothing new comes along.
It still may get released by the end of the year...

This is a very good alternative, I'll show respect where it's due here and say this is one incredible piece of work. Nknave's DVD and my DVD (AID 3.0) share a few similarities, but not many.
