Ok, so I recently softmodded my xbox, then I reinstalled the original dashboard into the C directory. It works fine, but when I put splinter cell into my dvd drive, and try to reinstal the softmod, it does not launch the installer. Since the xobx works fine, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what is going on with the xbox so that does not load the installer. Thanks.

The gamesaves are prolly gone. Reinstall the gamesave and you should be fine.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I deleted them and replaced them, and it still did not work.

you must cold boot the game.

like put game disc in, power off, and power back on, so the xbox bios access the gamedisc before it launches your xboxdash.xbe on C ending up activating softmod, so you can't boot your gamesave installer VIA softmodded, so do like i said, and it should work, since it need to be in retail state.

Ok, here is the solution to my problem. I had some downloaded content and other profiles on my xbox for splinter cell. Once I deleted those, it worked fine. Please lock this topic now that the problem if solved. Thanks to all those who gave me hints.
