Ok so I'm using spider chip 1.1 on a 1.0 xbox to marry new HDD. Properly installed chip, got the cromwell bios to come up and I've been trying to load new bios with disk. I have used sony cd-rws memorex cd-rws and a cheapy of cd-rws and also maxell dvd+rws. With none sucess I get the "my cd" and "could not find bios. Halting!" I've tried burning with nero and tried re-burning. Any help? Thanks
I've tried theses on both a thompson drive and samsung. Maybe their just both tight butted drives that don't want to read anything.

i used a imation dvd+r on my ver 1.0 xbox w/thompson drive
for both my bios and aid2.11 .

The V1.0 is snarly without a doubt. Nero should handle the job without issue but be sure to burn at the slowest speed you can go. Only other recommendation is be sure your burner firmware is completely up to date.
It made an enourmous difference for me when I found out that my burner had old firmware. Now I burn without a second thought and the V1.0 plays like a champ! (for educational purposes only of course ) _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
