Hi... I'm new to the softmod concept, and I am going to give the splinter cell exploit a try.
My question is, if I successfully put a new HDD in my xbox and get the softmod to work, could I then use a HDD duplicating utility to copy the entire disk (as an image, I suppose) to a new disk, and then insert the new disk into a friend's xbox and have an "instant mod"? Would I still have to use the splinter cell expoit on the 2nd (friend's) xbox?
Hope I didn't overlook this in the tutorials.

i've heard of something like that, but the best thing to do, is to build your self a xboxhdm_1.9 disc with softmod files, so it's ready.
