thanks in advance to the replys.
k so i softmodded my xbox's 8 gig hd with seemingly no problems and did all the stuff to put it on a 250g hd. The problem is that it seems to be fine but certain games wont load correctly and freeze at loading screens etc. halo 2, bf 2 work perfect but when i dl'ed far cry instincts and ftped the contents over to my xbox the game gets to the menu and freezes when i click an option.
My thoughts are that
a) somehow i didnt update the ms dash and for some reason its having an issue with those games (although bf2 is new enough that it doesnt make sense)
or b) that my drives have some extra dashes on them and i should do some cleaning and resoftmodding/dashing to resolve this.
I have installed a softmod to the c drive and then it didnt start up properly in the dash so i went to the e drive and im kinda confused right now if what i just said is true or the other way around. i would really like to know a way that i could just delete everything off the e:/f:/g: and just install a softmod to the c: or w/e and redash it etc so that its fresh without any extra crap.
( right now theres a .xbe (i think thats the dash file) type on both c: and e: and im not 100% sure which one gets booted (kinda think its e)
other than the clean up part i would like to know if i really do have to worry about msdash 5960 because i will never boot off of it so do i need to worry about it being updated?

delete all of your cache.
all files found in E:\CACHE\
X, Y, and Z drives as well (delete all in these drives).
that should get it working.
