Is there a specific reason you are trying to use the programmer? Just curious, because I have found that the HTTP flash method built into the chip once it is in your XBox is much easier (that and the place that I ordered my X2.6 CE from sent me a "free" programmer, but it was for the older X2.3 and never would work...you can tell, as the pin header on the programmer is not the same size as the X2.6).
Anyway, assuming you can get the chip in your box already (you have done the hard mod install, right?), then follow this Flash Bios install. I would recommend the HTTP flash. You will need a Bios (I would recommend the latest 512KB X2, personally.
If you REALLY want/need to get the programmer working, then try this doc.
Hope that helps,

hi MACCZ,
Since your going to flash via http we need to setup your xbox on the network with your pc..
Can you do this for me and then paste your info..
Maybe you dont have dns turned on in your network and your xbox cant get a ip address..
Some tips before i start:
- if you are connecting your xbox directly from pc to xbox like example below you need to be using whats called a crossover cable.. Not a normal network patch lead.
EXAMPLE: PC ---->>> XBOX
- if you are connecting your xbox through a switch/hub/router like example below you need to be using a normal network patch lead to connect your xbox to the router etc.
To get your PC IP ADDRESS INFO DO THIS:
1. Click Start Menu
2. Click on Run and press enter
3. Type 'cmd' and press enter (without the '')
4. Now type 'ipconfig /all' and press enter
It will now show you all your ip info.. I will paste mine to give you a example..

Don't think you can change the IP address of the HTTP flash on the X2.6. But he shouldn't have to with that IP address. It should work if he just types 192.168.1.100 into his browser window on his PC. Judging by the netmask and IP addresses that he has listed, it should work fine (provided he has the network connected ok).

I havent played myself with a x2 or flashed one so its all guess work from here.. Really all modchips are very much the same in theory but just the little niggling bits get ya sometimes..
Myself, and TheMogod starting adding all our info to the XBOX TUTORIALS section so we didnt forget (in our old age).. lol.. Atleast it helps..

Hum...do you have the first bank corrupt? If you do, try booting to the backup bios (bank 2). You should get a blue Flash BIOS screen. And yes, both X2.6 and X3 chips support HTTP flashing.

I tried booting from bank 2 and nothing happens. I do not think i have a bank corrupt I think my xbox is not reading the chip or was it something i did wrong installing it. Is there supposed to be a screen? because its not giving me anything.

Hum...yes, you should get a blue flash bios screen with selection for HTTP or CD flashing. You should CERTAINLY get this if you boot from backup (push eject and power at same time).
