One quick note too about the XBMC build in this beta, it's the same one from AID 2.11, so if you've updated XBMC prior to this make sure you back it up.
When you have downloaded it and burned it, please respond to this post with any problems you come across, or an all clear. PLEASE just don't respond if you find no problems, becuase then I still am not sure on what the results are, which makes testing useless.
OK, that's all I have to say for the moment, test away guys and let me know what happens.

edit: updated np's with Avalaunch and XBMC skins and 1 gigs dummy file better make sure it burns ok too
edit2: burned at 4x with DvdDecrypter and booted from within Avalaunch dash.
are the tools like Xbox partitioner, Bioschecker and ConfigMagic suppose to be accessible like that without launching AID?
AID boots to the old style menu, the Xbox's nickname doesn't show up. IP set to static :/ select DHCP mode.
AID restarts with a new skin. IP still set to static though. select Static mode.
skin remains the new one. power off Xbox to boot from disk.
Boots to AID in static mode, np. and its time for me to get to sleep

XBpartitioner, Bioschecker, Configmagic etc are tools that are accessable via the AID interface, that's why they are unpacked on the ISO ready to go.
Where's the Xbox nickname supposed to show up, there's nowhere on the skin, if it's via an option in the UnleashX interface it's out of my control afaik.
I fixed the problem with the DHCP mode, basically it was the switch in the dhcp version of the aid 3 menu. The swtich from DHCP to static should be fine also, I didn't see any problems in the code, with or without the BIOS addon pack I included.

BTW, if any of you want to test out SID 3.1 final please do that also.
Two ways you could test
1) Install 3.1 Final completely using the memory card
2) just install a exploit, boot aid 3, format c, and use aid to build.

hey DJB, when you boot the disk from Avalaunch (as compared to cold booting it) it looks like AID 2. thats where the xbox nickname appears. i'm off to class, will "play with it" more in a few hours i also enjoyed playing with it last night before i went to bed. i imagine i'll be fiddling with it alot

DJB.....Can't wait for the new AID3....If some of my friends give me their xbox's to mod anytime soon Ill shoot you a PM and see if I can grab myself a copy of AID3 to try out and help with the beta testing....I should know by the end of this week (college is really jacked up this week...I shouldnt even be on here until Friday night with all the crap I have to do)....either way, though, if you need any help with this thing and I can help in any way let me know....I used aid 1 and 2 and they made my whole modding experience a lot better. I recall after modding my 1.6 with an lpc rebuild i thought the hard part was over...then i began reading about the apps and had no clue what i had gotten myself into....being a newb I didn't comprehend ftp'ing stuff at that time and the general overview of what is happening when installing the programs....instead of saying screw this I finally found HQ and your autoinstaller which turned everything around....It allowed me to get everything on my box in perfect working order and then I was able to continue to read on here and play with my box to begin to understand what is going on....That was aid 1 and now box's later for me and you now on the 3rd version. Yes well I do plan to release AID 3 this year hehe (jk). Hopefully AID 3 should be out by the end of next month.

At the comment moment i have a pretty big list of testers, however at the moment I have more than enough. Later on before I release the final I may get a couple more people to try it out, but at the moment I think the amount we have is quite sufficient. Thanks for asking though, I'll definately keep it in mind...

Just updated to beta 7, check the changelogs.
I won't upload a new beta until about number 10 or 12, I might even update XBMC so you can all atleast get the benefit of a newer XBMC version.

I modded a box and used AID3. All went good, everything looks normal. I didn't have time to check how all the apps were running(or as Shark2th would say"Play with it" ) because the wife started having contractions, nothing major but being that she is high risk I needed to stop. I will check the apps today as well as using dvd2xbox and make sure that works as well. _________________
