i have a xbox 1.6 pal softmoddded
i put a 120gb harddrive in it lockt and working
now i see dat i have no more a xbox 1.6 pal but xbox 1.0a ntsc m
how is that possible.....
eeprom backup with sid4 and used xboxhdm1.9

From what i can work out the version change from 1.6 to 1.0 is due to the virtual eeprom and it being patched.
I have been reading through some Nkpatcher documentation and it seems to change the serial, HDD Key and XBLIVE key in the virtual eeprom so that other apps can't stuff it up. That would explain why it sees it as a 1.0 box when the softmod is enabled.
As for the NTSC-M issue, it seems to be a problem with the installation on PAL boxes. Use the Enigmah Video Switch to set the region to PAL manually and all should be good.

This is correct, as the fact that the virtual eeprom is patched in a certain way, and it ends up as a 1.0, but that's just virtual so apps like configmagic suffer some brain damage, and can't unlock your hdd _________________ Xbox v1.1
