I've had this Xbox for probably a month and a half. My cousin got one of his friends to put in an Xecuter 2 chip. It's been working fine (except for the occasional freeze) till just today. When i turn it on with the mod chip, my xbox will turn on, then off two seconds later, turn on two seconds later, turn off two seconds later, then turn on again where the reset button will start to blink red and green. When i try to turn it on with the modchip off, the reset button will blink red and green and it will say that i have a problem and that i should call customer support. I have no idea what to do.

well im kinda n00b at this but my friend had the same problem and easyily solved it by each time holding in the "turn on button" about two-three seconds each time he started his xbox...
probably this wont work for u but u should atleast give it a try
Once you download AID you unrar the .RAR files and burn the .iso file to a DVD-R.. This DVD-R AID has 60+ xbox dashboards, apps and emulators etc etc all on the one dvd-r/CDRW.
It can reinstall any software that is missing frmo your xbox and let you recover from these errors.
Since you are getting a ERROR SCREEn it sounds like you may need to reinstall a dashboard to your xbox using AID.. Then it will boot normally again..
hope ive been some help.
read up about AIDeluxe.. Its the only tool you will ever need for your modded xbox.

also,
it sounds like your xecuter 2.x modchip is a SOLDERLESS modchip.. It may have become loose on not ligned properly.. You may have to open the xbox to realign it so that all lights are on..
Apart from that.. If you can boot AIDeluxe it will solve all your probs.
Problem is that at first it was loading up the dashboard, but when i started a game, the game would freeze when i was loading something. Eventually it just stopped working. I was just wondering what exactly would cause this.
Also, how will i get this program to start on my Xbox?
Edit:
I turned on my Xbox and looked to the side to see that my modchip's lights were still on. I'm dl'ing AID. Thanks for the help, but i still need to know how i will get it to start on my Xbox.

The chip may have become loose in transit and occassionally it could not be working.. More the likely if you check it out you will only have to jiglle the chip if it is SOLDERLESS to get it working again.
It could also mean you are running a older bios.. You could reflash your modchip but i wouldnt suggest this unless you want to learn a little more about your modchip etc etc.
If you still get a ERROR CODE once your modchip is working again,
then use AIDELUXE to reinstall a dashboard..

You download the AIDeluxe .rar files and then use WINRAR to extract the .iso file from inside.. You burn the AID2.iso file to a DVD-r or CDRW and boot in your xbox once you get your modchip working again..
The AIDeluxe will not boot until your xbox is working correctly.. Also you may need to burn to a few different brands of dvd-r/cdrw until you find one that your xbox likes unless you already know

I turned on my xbox to find that its modchip's lights are all on. This error message only occurs when the modchip is off. When i turn it on, then it repetedly turns off and on until finally i get the reset button blinking red and green with nothing on the screen. The error message was i believe the Microsoft error message. It had an "05" in the corner and said "Service required. Call customer support." in different languages.

heres the error code information..
Code:
Service Error 05:
Info: Your Xbox Harddrive is not locked. A retail BIOS needs a locked Harddrive. You will receive this error only when turning off your modchip and booting to the retail M$ Dashboard.
Solution: Use "ConfigMagic" to lock/unlock the Harddisk ("ConfigMagic" can be found on the "HQ Auto Installer Deluxe Installer v1.01" ISO).

Since you have a modchip and its turned on it shouldnt matter that your hdd is unlocked.. So im guessing your modchip may not be aligned or may need to be re-flashed with a new bios..
Do you have much experience with this chip or the programmer?
I know it can be flashed via http i think after reading another post..
Just download AIDeluxe and see if you can boot it in your xbox with the modchip turned on.. AIDeluxe should load no matter whether you get 05 error code or not.. That way you know you modchip is working when AIdeluxe boots.. If it doesnt go back to your modchip.
Wow..this is weird. I'm not sure if this was just a coincidence, or it really worked, but i tried mazor's advice with my modchip on and now my xbox is working fine....
Thanks for the program though forahobby. I'm still dl'ing it and uploading to my xbox. Thanks for the advice mazor.

if when you press (and not hold) your xbox power button and you still get a error like you said.. You need to LOCK your xbox HDD so that it can boot with the XBOX MODCHIP turned off.
Darn, getting the same problem again. Would AID work with a CD-ROM, or only DVD? I tried burning it to a CD, but it wouldn't boot on my xbox.

it will work on CD-RW, on all xboxes, and only on samsung drives you'll get to read CD-R.
so only burn to CD-RW for now, (i recomend using memorex)

Hey parthvader, AID would fit on a cd-r, but you might want to try cd-rw or a dvd-r. The disk will not work on a retail dash(microsoft). You will want to fix the problem you have with the xbox not booting to your bios before you use the AID disk. _________________

How could i get it to boot to my BIOS? I also have another question. Can anybody give me a pic on how a soldered and a nonsoldered modchip looks like? I'm going to try opening it up later on to check the chip. When i turn the Xbox on, i see blue lights coming from inside the xbox. Does that mean the chip is correctly aligned, or does it just mean its on but may not be aligned?
