I have tried to softmod using AID but now when it boots it goes to try and update xbox live Its says"XBOX Live is updating your system. Please do not turn off your XBOX" and then fails with the message "XBox live is not responding. Please try again later". I have tried to boot with a game and the auto installer deluxe dvd and nothing. Help please!!!!!!Has anyone ever come across this.

You should be able to boot from the game used for the exploit. Load that and redo the softmod. If that doesn't work, read up on pirrup's hotswap tutorial. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

I have a couples of questions : What brand of hardrive should I buy if I want to upgrade the capacity in the xbox?
I have used the Auto Installer Deluxe 3 is this the best intaller at the moment?

With softmods hdd need to be locked with the eeprom from you xbox. Once you make a backup you will have to use xboxhdm to prepair and lock the new hdd. Then you will have to softmod the new hdd. Pirrup's hotswap tutorial can be used for this, just skip steps 6-10.
To make a backup of the eeprom, you can find it in the system menu of the EvoX dashboard. Then FTP the eeprom.bin to your pc. Also read some of the post reguarding hdd upgrades, if you haven't already.
