When I am transferring files from the xbox to the PC for long time the xbox power will turn off. Is there some setup to tell the xbox to turn off if there is no activity?

What dashboard are you in? I know UnleashedX has a setting in the Config.XML (and in the settings) that disables the auto-off function, and so does XBMC. Also, the normal MSDash also has an auto-off setting, I believe.
