ok i got the ftp to wrk finally. Now I have a game on my hard drive how to I play it.I use the evo dash board and it doesn't find the game or myemulators. Do they have to be in a certain folder? The are in winrar format but they are iso files. I created them with qwix.

with evox when it boots it scans:
E:\Games\
E:\Apps\
E:\Emulators\
on your xbox and will auomatically put in any apps it finds..
You could ftp into your xbox c:\ drive and make a backup of your c:\evox.ini file so you can edit it.
Look for this line:
Code:
AutoAddItem "Games","e:\Games";
or something like that..
hope that helps.. Once you do that just reboot and all your games will show up fine.
The sub folders are not on my E drive .Exp; Games/APs they are no were to be found.If the game is in rar format will that matter even if the extension file is iso? I suck at this tell me it'll all beover soon .

doesn`t evox look for games in E:\hddloader and the same with F:\?
your xbox can`t play games from the rar. you`ll need to extract them first with a pc or install a program called complex tools onto your xbox (in apps) This program can extract isos and rars on the xbox.

FH,
If he has this in "rar" format, what are the odds that this is a pirated game? I mean, DVD2Xbox should put it all in the proper format and not cause this issue (and if he really did own the game, it would be simple enough to pop it in and have DVD2Xbox copy it, rather than xferring a torrent .rar file over and getting that working). I guess, my question for you, as the site admin, is what do you support here on the site, just so I know? I'm personally never going to give anyone instructions on how to pirate games. Period.
{rant}
And for anyone that wants to argue that the game companies make way too much $$$ off this already, and they really aren't losing anything from you copying your buddy's game, blah-blah-blah, stop right now, because no matter WHAT the price is, you do NOT have to play it if you think it is too expensive (it isn't food, clothing, shelter or ANYTHING you need to have). There are also enough sub $20 games out there these days that can be had if you just wait so that you can OWN them. We have great games BECAUSE these guys get lots of money for them, and the chances of any game developer actually "making it" out there is actually pretty risky, even in today's gaming boom (to argue any other way would be just stupid).
It is NOT YOUR RIGHT to play games, nor is it fighting "the man" to pirate. It is stealing, plain and simple (worse it is stealing to sate your entertainment desires, not because you were hungry, cold, or homeless), and I despise those that do this.

Just my $0.02. Flame on.

Sorry. Sort of derailed that thread, didn't I. Ok...back to your normally scheduled programming...I've been re-muzzled and returned to my cage.
Blighty...point taken. And I wasn't really railing against the original poster, as I do NOT know his actual intents or situation. More it was a genralized rant at the folks that DO that (those of you that do, know who you are).
BTW, this was a purely editorial response on my part, and I don't want this to be seen as a request or edict of how XBox-HQ feels. It is purely how I feel (and I'm fine if others feel differently).

It's cool Jhondra. I've experimented, from time to time, but I never inhaled.

I agree totally with you jhondra.. I dont support xbox piracy on this site at all and neither do any of our admins.. There will never be a xbox game available ever from our network..
Support developers.. Buy your xbox games..

Hi spone76,
Ok.. Good that you have evox installed.. You are nearly there.
With EVOX you have to put your games into:
E:\games
F:\games
or
G:\games
Then evox shoulud automatically find those game after you reboot..
If your evox menu isnt showing up things on your hard drive then you should ftp intl your xbox and get a backup copy of EVOX.INI file.
You just edit evox.ini file and look for this line (roughly):
Quote:
AutoAddItem "e:\games\";
Make sure its pointing to where on your xbox you have your games.
Like i said standard is e:\games etc etc.
btw.. AIDeluxe will help you out immensly.. It creates folders and hooks everything up sweet.. If you cant get it working manually try install EVOX from AIDeluxe under the softmods menu! _________________ HQ Network:
