I am little late to the game of modding but I just modded my Xbox with the Xecuter 3 CE into a version 1.5 console. I am looking to replace the harddrive with a 200 gb Harddrive. My friend is offering me a Maxtor 200gp SATA hard drive 7200rpm 8mb. Is this drive compatible with my system. A prompt response would be greatly appreciate to prevent me from losing this deal.

Thank you
Jeev14

From what I've read and experienced all Maxtor HDD are compatible.
There is a chart here I will try to find and link you to.

Edit: Found this:

should help.

You may be right big "B".
According to more reading I've done. SATA drives are not detected by the bios so if it's freezing at the bios screen it's not your HD... SATA drives have their own boot menu.
I thought most maxtors were ok but a glimpse at that listing tells me different.
Here's a much larger list with pull down menus.
Be sure to have the exact Model no.

At this point jeev14, I'd have to give the drive a thumbs down.
