Ok I finally got my softmod 2 work. I can listen to audio cd's but no dvds. How do I load the apps? Also I have evo with unleashed. I downloaded the dvdxbox file but's it's rar format.I want let me copy it 2 the memory card via action replay. I don't understand how to convert the files to correct format 4 memory card. I have winzip and winrar files. I used the install form this site with the 007 soft mod.

If your xbox is softmod, then the easiest way to put apps on your xbox would be to ftp in it. Look for tutorials on that in the Tutorials/Softmod section.

Ok I can't get the FTP 2 work. I read the tuts allday still no luck. My IP address starts with a 65 so that's the number s i need? Still no luck am I missing a step somewhere? I have a soft mod with retail hd with evo that's it. I want to be able to play back up games and use the dvd feartures from the programs on this site.
I have 2 nic cards in my pc the one with xbox has no connection is that why I can;t get on the net? Or is it because it hasn't connected yet?
Do I have to use a cross over cable or can i just use another cat 5?

Crossover's only for Direct connections. You need to use the IP provided (with Cat 5 or Cat 5e cable) by your router. You then use that IP to access your Xbox. Most routers use Ip's that begin with 192. So, if your router is 192.168.0.2 and your PC was the first thing hooked up to it, then your PC would be 192.168.0.2 as configured by MAC address. You really have no control over your MAC addy.
If you have a router, do some research on Networking your Xbox and FTPing in. If your IP starts with 65, it's the wrong one. If you're not on a router, your only option is using a crossover cable.

I went out and bought a cat 6 cable to run from my 2 nic card to my xbox. Still the same thing nothing. My ip still starts with a 65.1191.32.2. I 'm about to give up on this whole thing it's frustrating.

You say you have got a nic card in your pc directly connected to your xbox right??
Ok.. So all you need to do is this..
Get all your ip address information by doing this.
1. Click 'Start Menu' and choose 'Run'
2. Type 'cmd' and press enter
3. Now type 'ipconfig /all' and press enter
4. it should show all your ip info now.
Basically you download and burn the .iso file to a DVD-R or CDRW and boot in your modded xbox.. You can then install 50+ dashboards, apps and emulators directly from the disc.
Thx 4 all the help i bought a $40.00 dollar router from bestbuy. No I got it on the first try in now I have to figure out how wht i programs likedvd2 and so on.

I feel like an idot by keep asking questions.I 'm looking for help on wht items I need on my xbox for t to do the followimg. Play dvd with no remote. download and play saved games from hd. also how do change winrar into readable files xbox will reconigze. I honestly feel silly asking for help. I read the tutfor the last couple of days no help really I need step by step help. Ater I get it once I can do it by myself .
I ftp some files 2 my xbox but how do i get it to wrk? XBCM was the file I have. I can see it on hd but how do i install it .

hmm i can try to help for the winrar get winRAR just search google and you can download it then right click the winrar file and click extract here. for the dvd for my xbox i got dongel free dvd player i think i would look it up by xbox is having some problems right now as for xbmc i would just make an AID disk and download all ur apps from there also tons of emulators i can help you do that perfect i just did it.
