I was following the softmod guide on this site, I did the everything the splinter cell guide told me to.
However, now when I go to access the MS dashboard, I get the error 21, call customer support warning.
I didn't do anything wrong, I stuck to the guide.
Has anybody else had this problem?
How can I fix it?

HI
need a little bit more info to help you out with this problem.did you install an alternative dashboard when you did the softmod??.did you try to patch the 5960 dash?? did you make a backup of the original dashboard??can you still boot original discs??
All this info will help to get your xbox back to a healthy state ( hopefully )

Yea I can boot to evox.
I patched the dash.
However, I have just come across something. In the guide it says to run PPF-xbox, I thought this was built into the softmod and would do it automatically.
Do I have to create the directory for ppf-xbox before I run the patch? Or Do I run the patch, then go to file manager and run PPF-Xbox?
Help please

I used the slayers EVOX disc and used it to build the MS dash.
I then reinstalled the softmod as the guide said but I'm wondering if it is the PPF-Xbox step that I missed out.
How exactly do I use PPF-xbox?
A full step by step guide if possible.

Hi chris,
i would strongly suggest you download auto installer deluxe,this is now the benchmark tool for anything xbox,it has all the utilitys you could wish for,there is a link to the homepage on this site,i use this tool collection all the time.The patching of the dash can only be done if you have the latest dash on your xbox and the easiset way to do it is from the softmod installer menu this should do the ppf bit for you.

Then I can start from scratch when I get auto installer deluxe.

Slayers is very out-dated. AIDeluxe has all the software needed including the softmod. If you can still get to the evox dash then just delete everything from the E: PARTITION ONLY. Reinstall EvoX and install the softmod to the c: partition. This can all be done from AID. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

You shouldn't have to restore the xbox. When you get Auto Installer Deluxe 2.11 downloaded, you should be able to just burn the iso to either a cd-rw or dvd (recommended), run that and got into the softmod section and choose install softmod+msdash and that should fix your ms dash problems.
