Ok I got the drive to lock to my xbox. So the drive works, but I unlocked the HD and tryed to do the same thing using xboxhddm v1.9 and it won't work with my friends xbox. First I got it to lock then still got a eror 6 then it took me about four hours to unlock it. So there a way to wipe the drive clean and do it over again?
I am thinking of loading all of my info from my HD but changing the eeprom code. I have no other idea on what to do. I did not even have this much problem with my XBOX.

Your topic means absolutely nothing to me mate.. You need to take it slow.. And from the beginning.. Dont start a million topics just one if you can..
If your softmodding ill give you a tip.. You never want to unlock your retail XBOX HDD otherwise if you cant get it locked again you will have to do whats called a HOTSWAP..
If you had a modchip you could lock or unlock your xbox hdd no probs and change hdd's in and out but since you have a softmod you need to have the exact eeprom information for each hdd..
anyway, heres some links that may help you even though i still have no idea what you are doing from your topic.

Sorry I have been at it for like four day now.
1.I have the xbox hd still in the xbox and it is running the softmod great.
2.I backup the C and E folders
3.Used xboxhddm v1.9 to make iso and I can load everything and lock it but still get error6.
4.But if I run the iso that I used on my HD it works fine. I just dont understand it.

are you following one of pirrups tutorials?? Thats what i would suggest you do.. Pirrups tutorials are proven to work for all our members so far..
Maybe you have some pc issues.. Can you go to another pc and use it temporarily??

I think that may be true on the PC locking thing. I got it to work at my work, we have some Dells and guess what it work the first try.

I am Having problems with getting my softmods to work. I have used Evo 3935 and i loaded it up. Everything workrs great. But when I try to get onto Xbox live, I cant. It will in no way shape of form let me sign on. I dont know if it has to do with my locked HDD. But I just need to know how I will be able to sign onto live. Whoever feels like they can help. Mr Latvia,
With a softmod you must remove the softmod and restore your M$ backup before xbox live will work.. The reason is if you go onto XBOX LIVE with your softmodded xbox you will be instantly banned.
So just uninstall the softmod and then try live again. should work fine.
You can always reinstall the softmod when you are finished with LIVE.
