I have two softmodded hard drives (each with almost the same configuration and type, one a 250gb, and one an 80gb) and for the life of me, I can't get my 007:Everything or Nothing to run off the hard drive. It is the only game that I have run into problems with so far!! I have copied the game over from my original game DVD using DVD2Xbox and all files get transferred successfully. However when I try to load the game from the HDD, I get the evox load screen for a moment (as I do with all games that load) then just a black screen!! If I put the actual game DVD in and select the "Play Game/Media from DVD" option, it loads just fine!! Do I need a patch for the default.xbe file or something?!? Again, I am a little bewildered because this is the only game so far (out of a collection of 46 game backups and growing) that has not successfully loaded off the hard drive. _________________ XBOX v1.6:

I had the same problem a while back, I loaded up unleashx, went into the filemanager and found the xbe, selected it and pressed "white" on the pad, scrolled down to "patch xbe" and hit "A"
no problem since.

awesome. so if i install the unleashx dash and patch the game, is it still playable in the evolutionx dash? i have never used unleashx and i don't think i'm going to change from evox. however, i will use unleashx to patch the game, that's for sure. _________________ XBOX v1.6:

Sure, you can still use evox as your dash and to execute the game. just run unleashx as an app or from a cd-r or any other cd media and patch the xbe file.

the 007 game folder has two xbe files. one is called default.xbe and the other is called driving.xbe. I patched default.xbe first and it didn't work. then tried patching driving.xbe and it still didn't work. what else could be wrong? _________________ XBOX v1.6:

Hi Guys,
You can install any DASHBOARD as a XBOX APPLICATION.
Just copy the whole DASHBOARD to the e:\Apps, F:\Apps g:\Apps directory on your xbox and then make sure you have a 'default.xbe' in the root..
That way you can trial different dashboards to see which on you will use the most.. Personally i use nothing but XBMC as a dashboard. When i turn on my xbox i get the latest xbox news directly from the XBOXHQ website here and also displays weather, my emails etc etc all on my default dashboard.. lol
But the choice is yours.. Plenty to choose from.
For patching games to run off hdd i always try:
1. DVD2XBOX (latest version) including all update files
2. ComplexTools.
Apart from that i use my pc and a .PPF file to patch the default.xbe if it needs it..

after researching this topic a bunch, i found that the retail version of the game DOES NOT work off the HDD unless the default.xbe and driving.xbe files are replaced with hacked versions. it took me forever to find a link that still existed, but I got these two files, replaced them with the original .xbe's on my xbox hd and now the game works like a champ. _________________ XBOX v1.6:
