Hey A5568-
The only time that you should need to use a dummy file is when you are flashing a modchip. The program used to flash a chip is so small that the xbox drive can't read it. All a dummy file does is increase the size of the flashing program that you have on your CD/DVD/etc. so it can be read by your xbox. I needed to go thru this stuff when I flashed my Xenium ICE.
The auto-installer is large enough that you don't need to add to it.
By the way, if you want to know more about dummy files, I used the one at www.mynikko.com. Hope this helps.

The dummy file was originally intended for CD-R or CD-RW users so that the data on the disc wasn't right at the start where it could be harder to read or very slow. I believe the same theory for DVDs also, hence why I made a 1gb dummy file for AID.
If you're just using AID 2.11 on it's own by all means put the dummy file on there aswell.

Yes it's large enough, but you have to also think that it will load a lot quicker when it's reading near the middle of the DVD rather than right at the start...
