i softmoded my 1.6 xbox with SID 3. everything was fine. i then booted the AID 2.11 everything went fine..when i restarted my box it kept loading ms dash. i cut it off and when i started it back up i get a code 21 error. it said in AID docs that i need to restore my C drive. i backed up all drives on my comp but now i cant FLASHftp to it. when i try to ftp the button turns red and it says connection refused . anyone know what went wrong or know how i can get into xbox hard drive. or anything else i can try. i already tried to run the SID again but when i try to load 007 exploit from harddrive or mem card it fails.....code 21

first try to boot the exploit game again (or a retail game)
if you can't boot them , then you will need to do a hotswap or buy a chip.

Hi,
Did you choose the tray open menu option in SID ?
If so you might be able to boot to the SID menu if you open tray whilst booting and either restore the m$ dash or re-do the softmod.
Did you load a dash from AID before rebooting for the final time???
The only time I ever get error 21 is if i reboot from AID without putting a hacked dash back on...........
AID deletes the dash u put on with SID so you need to put it on again before you reboot or you get error 21.

i didn't load an ms dash before rebooting..i guess thats the prob.
i tried the xboxhdm also..the program comes up on the screen and it gives me 4 choices,,,i've tried all 4..everytime i get boot failed to load...press a key to try again..i'm not sure what happened....the hdd must not have been unlocked....i've tried it many,many,many times...no luck...any other suggestions ?????

It isnt a m$ dash you should have selected it is the evox / avalaunch hacked dash you shloud have installed before reboot.
I have forgotten to do this once before and got error 21 and managed to re boot SID and AID and put the hacked dash on and every thing was fine....
Dont know what you have done to your xbox by playing with the other apps ?
I have done 4 softmods and had error 21 once.
Maybe someone else on the forum can help.
I normally post before messing with stuff I am not sure about......the other guys on here are dead good at helping out us newbies !

i've done 4 or 5 softmods also with no probs....slayers,geentoox,,oter linux's..etc...i guess i just wanted to try something different..IS THERE ANY WAY TO FTP WITH FLASHING RED LIGHT ON XBOX?????

i've tried the hotswap a hundred times with no luck....i have a western digital hdd that came with xbox ..i got a program from W.D to install hdd as extra storage but after i used it i couldn't find it on my comp..device mgr showed it as working properly but i couldn't find it to transfer xbox back up files to...any help on that would be appriciated....

Sorry Skully this is where my knowledge ends...........
I have only used SID / AID and had no probs (except forgetting to load the hacked dash...)

i guess i forgot to load dash also but i cant get back in to reload it. i've tried running softmod again,,i'm using 007 exploit. it won't even load game. i cant ftp....the hotswap is probably the best way but i just cant seem to do it...is there a program where i can put the hdd on my comp
and unlock it to gain access????or another way to access the hdd besides the forementioned??
