I have A bunch of emulators on my xbox. Including surreal 64, how do I add new roms to it? I've downloaded a couple but have no idea what is the next step?

usually they are added to a rom folder. example: E:\emulators\Surreal64\Roms

I tried that but it didnt work. Should I make a iso of it first? I just downloaded the rom them UNRared it.

Have you tried it with any other emulators. I remember with my surreal I had to edit the main file to change the directory of where it looked for games, but I don't remember where I changed it to. Also, make sure you have your surreal refresh otherwise the roms won't show up either. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

I didnt' change where it looked. I tried the refresh but nothing happend. Would it be possible tor un roms off a disc? I've tried with other roms too but to no avail;. It sucks I got about 30 emulators on my xbox and can't use a dang blasted one of them

What I am saying is you have to have it change where it looks. I don't see why you couldn't run your roms off of dvd, but in order to do that you definetely would have to change where it looks for roms. And to get it to change where it looks for roms you have to ftp to your xbox and take the file out, edit it, than replace it back in. I wish I could remember to tell you exactly what I did to help you further. If you use the search engine on this site i'm sure you will find it though. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

you can change the rom path in the surreal.ini file
when the file says it is looking in D: for roms it usually means the surreal/roms folder not the disc. as far as i know the only way to run the roms off the dvd is to put the surreal emu in the root of the disc and the roms as a /roms/ subdirectory
if you change your surreal.ini you must delete the surreal gamesave for it to use the ini file because it saves the ini data in the save _________________ .

Well I'd much rather not run it on a dics but no one has really been able to just tell me how to correctly ftp the rom over to the emulator file.

I unzip it. I believe the file type was something like .usa. Than I just look under my f drive (where everything is for me), than emulators, surreal64, than roms and drop them in there. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

your gonna have to modify the ROM's path in the surreal .ini by ftping the ini to your pc editing in notepad, and ftping it back

I wish I could remember exactly what I did to tell you. When you look in your .ini file you will see where it looks for roms, just change that to something like F:\emulators\surreal\roms and it should work fine. _________________ XBOX- V1.0
