Hi folks
new here and looking for help
i've softmoded a friend xbox
but now there is an error 16 and he told me that was his son fault and blablabla
now i am looking to fix his thing
but i need a friendly basic way of explanation plz
i know that is a thing about HDD lock
but i really need friendly basic explanation for way of fixing that
i have the AID latest version
i have a modchipped xbox too
so what is the easiest way to recover the other "softmoded" xbox ?

the easiest way would be to install a modchip and then lock the hdd.. You could then remove the modchip and the softmod should work fine..
Another method which i havent done myself is to have a backup of the eeprom and other information from the SOFTMODDED xbox with the ERROR and then flash your modchipped xbox with that information so you match eeproms with the broken xbox.
You can then install and lock the hdd using your own modchipped machine (with matcing info).. Just remember you will need to flash your own eeprom information back to get your xbox back to its original state.
You can use CONFIG MAGIC to do this.
but seriously.. Apart from that you could try pirrups hotswap tutorial here to recover softmods without a EEPROM backup...
