Gotta quick dumb question.. i reserved the 360 super bundle deal with highdef component cables and such. i dont have a hdtv yet i plan to get a little desktop one soon... however, in order to play at its full potential would i need a hdtv-ready... or integrated.
in other words if i get hdready (capable) will i need the extra hd tuner box in order to play 360 at its max .. or is that extra box just for tv..cable.. and so on? cause i wont be watching any tv or anything like that ..just 360. THANKS

I myself have not heard how it's going to be handled. I need to do more homework but I would presume that one can have a High Def monitor since it would use the High Def inputs. Not positive but an educated guess.
Side note: please don't double post, it really doesn't get you an answer sooner, it just tends to make people pass your posts up because they get annoyed. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

You will not need to have an OTA HD tuner. Most likely, everything on the Hidef will be either Component or possibly HDMI inputs. Which means that most HD displays today should work.
The biggest thing you need to make sure of, is that you get an HDTV display capable of natively supporting at LEAST 720p. Some older and even current cheaper displays will accept 720p input, but convert it down to 1080i or 480p.

Atleast 720p? What is better than 720p currently? 1440p? I know 1080i isn't better, but I was just wondering when you said atleast 720p?
Oh and thanks for the information about the monitor vs tuner. _________________

There are several 1080p HDTV's out there (actually several people are saying that 2006 will be the year 1080p became the main focus), but they are expensive (and there really isn't any content for them, except for pc applications). There are also some 1440p PC LCD monitors, but I don't really put them in the HDTV category...

LOL. That was originally a picture of my first son when he was born, and my brother-in-law took and did some photoshop editing and dubbed my face on his body. Did a damn good job of it too. He replied back to our birth announcement with the picture saying how surprised he was that the McClain clan had that much facial hair right out of the womb. GRIN.
