but it states that I need a modchip installed in order to activate the HD. Well, iif I just install SID on my xbox, will that make the HD work? first of all, ill do the 120gb for less than 150 dollars...
second of all, you cant just put the hard drive in there and hope it works. with a softmod, the hard drive has to be locked as the MS bios requires it. If you wanted a mod chip installed, i can do that also, but if you dont want to install a mod chip, you can send me your eeprom (if you dont know how to find it, ill explain it to you) and ill lock it to your eeprom so that it is 'turn-key' _________________ XCM Halo 2 blue case

Hey i'm guessing u want 2 go live since u want a chip righ:???? so u have a non softmoded xbox stock all the way and u want upgrade hdd??? WELL I RECOMMEND NKNAVE INSTALLER OR SID4 .. they are the same its just diffrent directions... U CAN PUT THOSE SOFTMODS AND U CAN RUN ANY HDD ANY SIZE W/OUT GETTIN CAUGHT EVER!!!!! or ban... but only works if u never been on xbl on the xbox u have.. I suggest buy like in www.newegg.com maxtor hdds or ur local staples.. get maxtor and u make it from scratch ... u wont even need A MODCHIP... i have less then 1 day i upgrade this hdd and it works fine!!!!.... use this link on upgrading the hdd.. ITS VERY VERY EASY AND ITS LOT EASIER THEN IT SEEMS... i did it less then 15 mins..
u do need basic ftp cat5 cable would do it... give us more info..

i dont have xbox live... and i dont have ftp access... hrm... this is what i want to do:
1-Install SID4 + evox
2-Install chimp (HD cloner)
3-Use the chimp app to clone the stock HD onto a 80gig or 120gig
4-Install the large HD

ok sid4 yes ftp very very easy ill be puttin a tut soon then i'll link u .. just need cat5 cable and pc ... chimp:???? now i dont know what that is < is it 2 copy evertying to transfer to new hdd??? if so then i would say forget taht and do this if u want have everyin on new hdd..

transfer ur c , e , eeprom and that is it .. u can have everying u have on ur stock hdd on ur upgrade hdd.. its a very very easy step..
sid4 or nknave is same thing becuz he did it but if u get nknave disc iso then i suggest do nknave intstaller... and put UNLEASHX i recommend that as its more user friendly and more acceable.. evox is for more like experence softmoders... evox=lanburgini unlehsx=ferarri... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

what u wanna do agin??? u want 2 know if u can transfer what to 2 ur xbox??? xbodhm or regular progrsms like dvd2xbox evox dash etc..? if so then xboxhdm is located whr i link u .... as far as apps then u can download disc iso from nknave or aid ... or the usual places....

well i am goin to just softmod for right now. Using AID. man, it sucks that i cant download it (on dialup it would take 4 days) so i had to send away for it.should be in the mail in the next week though.anyways, and one last question:
I got SID4 on memory card, and transfered it to my xbox, along with the 007 game save. I am going to install the that. but should i install a dashboard from SID or wait until AID comes in the mail? _________________ I really need to get a signature...

didnt understand well.. u said that u have dial up and its slow downloiadn aid????? idk i neer used aid.. but just install nknave installer then after susful install burn that disc iso.... and then run that disc iso once softmod and u'll be fine... so 2 answer ur question
install softmod
then use aid or w/e apps...

so i suggest u do ftp... get flashfxp and cross over cable or non cross over
plug it 2 ur xbox then edit ur xbox ip match it 2 flash fxp and ur set... intent transfer between ur xbox apps and ur pc.. very very very easy! _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
