hey everybody

ok im not exactly a newb but i have a problem. this is the 3rd chip i have installed on an xbox. all aladdins. they worked perfect except for the 3rd one. i have solders everything perfect. i have gotten the xbox to atleast boot and play a backup copy of a game but the xbox must be started by pressing the eject button. d0 point also has to be grounded for the chip tp turn on. if i dont ground the connection ( on top of connecting the d0 point) the chip will not boot. The power button can turn the xbox off but not on. we changed a wire for the d0 point because we didnt think it was strong enough. it made the xbox atleast boot up and play games. prior to changing the wire the xbox would boot up on it own when the power plug was plugged in. the lcd lights do not change color either. any suggestions or solutions would be of great help. thanx Sad

sounds like it might be a 1.6 and a copy Aladdin chip.
If it's a 1.6 you can flash the chip by adding a wire between it and the programmer, it will then work good on all models. COpies don't have this capability and most are no good on 1.6 A or B, some work with a switch and Motherboard cut...
