hi mate,
strange error.. Have you tried just burning the AID3 iso without updating??
It could be a problem there somewhere.. I have no issues though..
Double check you are install the dashboard to the correct drive and also be sure that you have space left on your hdd too.. That could be another issue.
Hi im a noob @ xbox modding, too.
And I got a little question if I want to install AID3.03
is it better to format my HDD or just leave the old stuff on it?

do you have to install the dash on a certian drive or can you pick wich drive to put it on? from what i am understanding is that you can pick wich drive to put it on, for instance- unleashx i was trieng to pu it on drive f and when i checked the stats before doing this drive f is free, do you have to format the drive befor you install a dash or is that only for a new drive?
thanx again for your help forahobby

You will only have a F Drive on your xbox if you have installed a LARGER HDD..
Also, Your bios determines where it will boot first.
Most bioses like the EVOX M8 bios boot F:\, E:\ and then finally C:\ on your xbox looking for dashboards.
So as long as you have a bios that support booting those drives you should be fine..
If you dont you may need to reflash your bios or install a dashboard to your C: drive temporariloy (this is not receommend if you use XBOX LIVE)
well what i did was i used aid3.0 to install a dash on drive e , then i shut down xbox then put in the 1st iso that had all the updates on it to remove the the first dash i put in then i used the updated iso to put the dash i wanted, but i think your right i was trying to install a dash on drive f & g wich i thought i had because when i did a stats of my hardware i thought it said i had those drives , i know from reading forums that it said i would have an x drive but you realy dont have on in the xbox, so i guess i only have drive c & e not c, e , f, & g hhm that suxi will have to do some more reading on to find out how to tell what size hdd i have and more info just on xbox itself.
just wanted to make sure i said thank you for your help .
well time to go to bed work comes early in the morning
