Yes and no. No, you don't need any DVD-R's or CD-RW's at all. I do however reccomend getting AID 3.01 (or waiting for 3.02 to come out) and burning that. It makes adding apps and dashes a breeze instead of FTPing ever every file, you just jump into the "one click installs" and you'll have everything you ever need to mod your box in minutes. Just check out www.aideluxe.com to grab it. You can burn it to CD-RW if you want, but I highly suggest using DVD-R because it's the most compatible type. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

Another Question.....
They are all like 700 MB....
Isnt there a smaller one?
Like one that would actually fit on the 8MB memory card for AR MAX?

the aid pakges are not transferable to a mem card , what you do is you softmod it using sid 4.5 exploits ( 2 files) then once its fully modded then you can burn a cdr ( if your xbox reads music) if not a dvdr then you can enjoy your xbox _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

If you have AID, you should have the SID package with it it. Look under the "tools" folder. Should be there for all of your wonderful softmod lovin. Just pick the softmod of your choice (best of both worlds, 3.11 is simple, easy and the best (in my own opinion) and sid 4.5 is the "fool proof" one. If you're a proverbial "n00b" run with SID 4.5 and READ THE MANUAL that comes with it. Please, read the manual. It will save you from completely screwing up your box.
If yours doesn't have a manual, read it from the site (www.aideluxe.com). There's many, many useful tools out there, m8. And trust me, I know the welfare end. That's why I started out on Softmods, it was all I could afford. But my knowledge made me the "modder king" in my town and also made me some money .
So, take your time, don't sweat it, and use the tools you've been given. You'll have a blast once you get all this down. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
