its playin a dvd than when its playin a game? its runnin noticebly louder with a dvd in......

I believe that it just reads straight from the DVD drive when you are playing a DVD. When you are playing a game it has to use the HDD for cache and uses the GPU more for video rendering then it does for DVD decoding.
So I believe, No. The DVD drive is just louder because it is used all of the time when you watch a DVD. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
