keep in mind that a xboxhdm formats the hdd using fatx. If you are trying to allocate space through fdisk or some other dos shell, it will not recognize the allocation table. It will just want to format it.

Complete the hotswap and use AID 2.11 to format any extra partitions.

Maybe i need to elaborate. when i hotswap and refresh i see the xboxhd under my master.it says unallocated. do i label it and format.? i ran hdd backup. now what?
