My buddy said he accidentally erased some files from my box, and now the top half of my applications list in evo x is in red text, and not even accessible to scroll through. The selector begins at the bottom half of my list, and you can see the top half above it in red.
Any ideas?

You will need to re-install the apps with AID. _________________

Just get ahold of Auto Installer Deluxe (http://www.aideluxe.com).. you can download for free using bit torrent or signup here for vip access to servers and other downloads.
You can reinstall anything and everything from aid just about.

How can I get AID to work if my box is already modded? I inserted my buddy's AID on a CD-RW (it worked in his box fine), and tried to load it from the flash bios screen, but it doesn't appear to work.
In other words, how do I load the CD on a box that has already been modded? Can I FTP it to my box and load it somehow? THanks for the help, it is greatly appreciated

Its probably just a media issue. You and your friend probably have totally different xbox dvdrom drives.. So therefore you may need different media. Try our new Xbox CD/DVD Media Compatiblity databse out from here:

BTW, the cd works after you have clicked on your bios to load your dashboard....just as if you put a dvd in to watch it you cant until it gets to the dashboard....but like FH said if it still doesn't work then its a media issue....later. _________________ Xbox V1.6
