I have hooked up component cables on my progressive scan dvd to my lcd and it works fine. I have hooked up my s-video monster cables and it works fine as well as the a/v cables, but I just got Monster Component cables and it will not work? It boots upand right before the XBMC dash comes up it goes blank, but it will work if chip is bypassed for the regular xbox. I cannot use the chip engaged to play games, etc. IS there some type of setting or what do I do to use the component cables for my chipped box. XBMC dash and Apple 3 chip. Running the aid autoinstaller and xbmc dash. Thx for your help, Rob

all PAL XBOXES do not support HI-Definition.. If thats what your talking about.?? Thats why i love my mod.. I can run HDTV on XBOX.. Only NTSC has that ability and without a mod you dont have the option in th original M$ Dashboard..

I picked up a friends xbox it has the aladdin chip and mine is the apple3 chip. I went and hooked up the component cables and they work on his-no problem, but mine they still do not? I went to settings and checked hardware and his bios is evox and mine is saying undectable, so the problem lies in the bios. Wonder if there is another way to fix?

since you have a modchip you need to install ENIGMAH VIDEO SELECTOR from the auto installer deluxe DVD-R (aideluxe.com).
Once you install ENIGMAH VIDE SEL.. You just change your xbox over from PAL to NTSC by following the onscreen options.. You can also change back just as easy.
Change your system to a NTSC MODEL and then go into the M$ Dashboard (original retail dashbord) and you will find the options for HDTV etc etc.
Box is not pal. I went into the settings and it is the bios is unknow. The box says: Add MD5 from log to BiosIDs.ini.....what is this and how to do it?

you need to just get one of the latest EVOX.INI files by iteself.
It just has updated info so it can detect your bios.
Thats why its displaying as unknown..
anyway, good luck with it.. Im buggered. Been coding all night.
Im sure another member will reply with info if they have it.
Just keep your topic acitve.

just install EVOX as a application to your E:\ Drive..
Then you should be able to boot the latest EVOX DASHBOARD as a application and see if it is updated with your bios info.
where do I get the evox and is it on the autoinstaller disc? If not I can ftp it over to the e/drive. I have no problems with that. Thx

I FIX IT!! It was in the regular xbox dash settings: change hdtv settings all three to NO, then reboot, then it works. All this work and it was simple.Mine had setting for 480/ 720/1080 so I checked NO at each one then it worked.
