Hey guys. I finally decided to sell off all my old PSX RPGs after I realized I could get like 800 bucks for all ofthem on ebay, but I want to still be able to play the games since I haven't even beat all of them yet. So I decided the best idea was probably to get a modded xbox and load all my PSX games on there, and then I can just sell off my SNES and N64 and NES games while I'm at it...
So, I'm trying to figure out what to do here. I'll either buy a new xbox and mod it myself, I have no idea how to do it, but looking over some tutorials breifly, I think I can handle it, I know how to solder, and I've soldered small electronics before, and opened up systems, and built computers and all that shit. so here's the questions:
1. would it be best to just buy one pre modded, and if so, where would I aquire one?
2. If I mod it myself, which chip should I buy? (which one has the best features/is easiest to install?)
3. how do I transfer the software to the xbox? (emulators, games, all that shit)
4.Where do I even get the software?
5. once everything is installed, how do I get my PSX games onto it? Do I have to convert them to isos on my computer and transfer them through some cable to the xbox, or can I simply put the games in the xbox and copy them to the hard drive from there?

1. there all over if you google. www.modchipstore.com is good but expensive. I recomend buyign a used or new xbox, exploitable game, memory card, and as for Action Replay, you either make 1, or buy one. It's truly up to you, i rather mod it my self, then have it done by someone else.
2. People recomend Xenium Ice, i recomend SmartXX chips, but once again it's up to you and your needs. Xenium Ice it's known to be easiest solderless chip, as for SmartXX, it's got tons of features, X2 or X3 are good, but trust me, those are things of the past, and these 2 are the best to go with.
3. AID or DISC.ISO can do stuff like that for you, as you may also FTP, there's plenty of tutorials on tutorials section.
4. Either become V.I.P., look in torrent sites, or look in Xbins.
5. you must use the emulator called PCSXbox *I think*, and you must have your psx games in *.bin format, and you must ftp to your emulator roms foler.
Example if installed on E:\.
E:\emulators\pcsxbox\psxcds\game.bin
Now, you have to know that psx games are huge, and your xbox could only have 4.8 to 6.8 gigabytes for storage depending on stock drive, you must upgrade hdd to be able to store all these psx games. As for the others they should fit just fine.
Final buy not least.
Having roms of games you don't own, it's piracy, but it's legal to have roms of games you cannot find on retail stores, so mostly all buy psx and n64 could be legal.
So, i recomend you to copy your games like you want to, play them, and since you pay your license, your good to go, just don't keep them if you don't own originals. *not like anyone does*
but it's just to tell you, that if your ever caught with game images of games you don't have discs/catriges for, can get you into serious shit.
Oh, and chips aren't the only thing, Softmods RULE!!!
