Hi forahobby again...
I'm doing shooting games with actionscript, and high-def graphics, but i have to tell ya, that i hate flash mx. I'm takin out the maximum from Swishmax. A lot of people tells that Swishmax is only a bannermaker prog, but it's actionscript is the same as Flash MX's, just a few things differ. If you want it, i can help you developing games (with graphics, coding, music/sound fx) but i cannot work with flashMX

Thanks for the offer mate but i find SWISH to be very un-professional.. You can do half the stuff you can do with FLASH MX..
Also, you need to have components installed into flash and SWISH doesnt allow you to do this.. That means you cant use hi-scores etc.. so there is no point.
If you are familiar with ActionScript i dont understand why you dont just have a play.. I didnt even know nothing about flash until January 2005.. I used to use SWISH all the time.. (glad i stopped)..
Now i can code anything i want and pull and push data from the flash.
Seriously, its the way to go.
Forahobby i'm on competition with one of my games. If the compo ended, I'll show you my game
High Scores are available, you only have to know how to make it work (without a premade flash plug). I'm telling you about SwishMax, not Swish 2 If you know, how to use and script this prog, you can do the same, as in FlashMX, trust me, i know it.
My first game (that already submitted into a compo) is a shooter, now i'm workin on a classic platform game remix.
PS: I offered you scripting and/or graphics. I'm only scripting in Swishmax, my graphics are made in Photoshop and ToonBoomStudio.

YEs i do a bit of this tho i only make cartoons for newgrounds.com ect. i use flash mx it gives me everything i need for flash movies i have not tryed to make a game b4 tho i dont think i will try for quite a while tho. _________________

My only prob with FMX is the User interface, it drives me mad, i dunno why...

I know a bit of action script and can make games. The graphics part I just don't have the software for. I'm sure if i had a good program to create 3d graphics for advanced games it wouldn't take me long to learn it.

no just jokes..
I went mad on flash in early january 2005.. I never touched it before that.. I programmed the following games in like 4 months:
- 1942
- ms.pacman
- frogger
- supersprint
- timepilot
and others too.
ive converted:
- street fighter
- bombjack
- track and field
- astaroth.
i love retro games so if anyone can rip really good graphics from mame please contact me.. Im currently working on choplifter and need the graphicxs finished.. I have done most parts but needs to be all touched up.
btw.. flashgames are good for your resume too.. Its all coding.
Flash is easy to impress your clients or in a meeting for a new job.. lol.. i know its gotten me quite a few jobs here and there.
Then there is this one. Is my first and wasn't very popular..lol You may remember the first version which was prettly bad. I lot of the graphics in this game have been taken from free icon and gif sights.
There are a couple more I just started but that's all just started the ideas for them .lol
Been focusing on a new site at the moment and put flash mx to the side. I did do one other thing... The header on my test site was done with FlashMx and a little {AS} Like gotoAndPlay and stop() very simple but much more is need for the games up above.
