ok a year ago a co-worker installed modchip for me. he had it so my xbox started up xbmc right away and thats what i used. i havnt used that xbox in acouple months cause i have a non-modded one i use for xbox live. Anyway i wanted to play an emulator today, plug in power cord, and turn it on. the original xbox menu popped up. i burned xbmc to a cdrw, and its not loading right, screen looks messed up. What can i do to get/install a dash that can load my games and emulators to play? (i have no experience doing this just used what he put on it which was xbmc which is acting screwy).
thank you in advance!
p.s. i have an xecuter2
I found out about this auto installer program but then i saw this-
"One note for users with modchips, you will have to make sure that your modchip is flashed with the correct BIOS before you boot this. You will find included the Xbox-Hq BIOS CD Pack 2.01 which contains various BIOS CDs you can burn and use to flash your chip. Please remember to use a v1.6 BIOS if you have a v1.6 Xbox, because if you don’t you could damage your chip."
Now I have a first version xbox, day it came out. i just want to make sure if i burn this auto installer its not gonna hurt my chip, cause i dont know anything about flashing bios or anything like that. I just want an auto installed dash on my xbox since for some reason ms one is back and i cant access my games or emulators. please help!

If your Xbox played XBMC before then using the auto installer will not hurt it. The assumption in the warning is for the first time chip user that hadn't flashed any bios yet. You're in good hands with allstate... uh autoinstaller. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

You can even format one drive or the whole drive and start fresh if you wish. Install whatever dash(es) you wish, install one, hate it, pop in dvd and install a different one. It's very flexible. I've changed my mind on stuff a lot until I installed XBMC and saw what it really could do, now I won't go anywhere else. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
