Does anybody here have a X-chip as a modchip? How did you originally flash the chip? Is there another way to flash it other than creating the boot disc with EvolutionX_beta_V1.8.3752.rar? If you have any answers please PM me.

why oh why did you buy an x-chip?
You could try the HQ VIP Downloads area or something similar, read the documentation first tho to make sure you get the correct bios.

Yeah man, I recently did an install for a friend that purchased and X-Chip solderless and it came with a external usb programmer that works pretty damn slick. All you need to do is go to easybuy and download the X-Control software and you're set. It comes with pretty detailed instructions on how to properly flash it.
One tip though, after you get done flashing the chip with your desired bios (I recommend the X-Chip Evox 1.1 bios) make sure to DISCONNECT the usb cable from the chip, for some reason it can give you some trouble. Just giving you a heads up! Later man, PM me if you have any other questions _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Yeah, my friend didn't have much better luck with his shipping or service for that matter. But all-in-all, the chip itself ain't bad I guess. Not as good as some, but it does the deed. I like that it includes the usb programmer, that's cool though. _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Yeah, when your done flashing, disconnect the usb! I forgot once and it caused a OS failure. Pretty easy fix but scared the shit out of me!!
