Hey guys & dolls,
I posted a similar topic in the VIP section, but no one was really responding so I thought I would start a new topic. I'm debating on purchasing the Xecuter 3 1.6 solderless adapter and the X3ControlPanel for a new system that I recently aquired.
I'm basically just wondering if anyone has used it or has tried the new solderless adapter and if it works alright. Also, on the X3CP, is there any soldering involved during the install or does everything just plug directly into the chip? Also, does the new X3CP line up and look good on the xbox? (does it fit right) Thanks guys, any and all responses are welcomed! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Gotcha, I thought that is what it was, but I wasn't for sure, that makes sense. I don't have one of those anyways, I'm just gonna use XBMC to do all my dvd playback, or Evox, whichever. Anyways, thanks for all your help, I'm going to order all of it during my lunch break today at work, haha! If I have any problems during the installation, I'll make sure to PM you shortacid, thanks again! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

The install is easy apart from 3 soldering points for HDD and Lan activity leds.
Only other hard part (beacuse of rubbish diagrams) was working out how you plug in the usb ports but it just fits in between the USB daughter board and controller port in a plug (Version 1 only, correct me if i'm wrong)

Do you have to solder the HDD and LAN activity lights or could you just leave them unhooked if you were worried about messing something up. I read on their site that no soldering was required so I don't know who to believe! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

You can leave the activity leds. I personal don't like them as you can hear the hard drive ticking and the LAN one doesn't work if network cable is pluged inand if unpluged its constant green.

Awesome, I'll just leave them unhooked, it'd be cool to have them working, but it's not something I'm too stressed about, just having a whole new front panel is cool enough, let alone an LCD screen and the proswitch and USB ports, haha. It should be here tomorrow so I'm excited to mess with it over the weekend! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

I couldn't wait to get it all in when i saw it. LCD is handy seen as DVD2Xbox has started using it and Unleash X outputs what game your playing rather than the stuff from the X3 config.

Is it hard to configure everything? once actually installed? Also, I'm wondering XboxXXX what bios you use for all of that? Should I go with an X3 bios or just the EvoX M8 1.6? I already have and burned the AID 2.11 so I should be good to go there. Thanks man. _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Thanks
