Post subject: Soft Mod Help (Evo X Installed But Need More Help)

Greetings all. I tried the soft mod using the Mech Assault file. I got the file transfered to memory card via Action Replay. Copied the file to hard drive. Started game and did the install. I backed up copy of c to e. Installed soft mod then evo x. Restarted system and got error #13. I did some research and found it to be dashboard related. After 6 tried re-booting I was able to boot game back up and restore c from e (Whew).

I went to try the process over again. This time however I did read the read me file after the Soft Mod install and the Evo X install. Both read me files indicated their was an error with the .rar files. This leads me to believe that this was the cause on the first go around. Am I right if their is errors on the read me file??

I restored c to it's original state. I am obtaining a copy of AID 2.0 as I write this. Is this the better way to do the soft mod install??

I also have original Splinter Cell Game but couldn't get the SID file copied to Action Replay Card. Size maybe?? SID File=9,786kb. That is why I went Mech Assault route.

Any help would be appreciated it.

Items Used:
Software Installer Deluxe 2.0 File: sid.mechasault.2.0.xbox-hq 7,554 kb
Action Replay with Action Replay 8mb memory card
Original Mech Assault Game

I got AID 2.0. I used the soft mod files for splinter cell, tranfered them to action replay and to memory card. I ran install and have Evo X up and running. There was a step where they want you to boot the iso image and run the "install soft mod + ms dash". I burned the iso with Nero but could not get this to work. Any ideas??

Is there a way to access memory saves, copy music over, etc. without ms dash? Is there another way to do this using Evo X? How do you upgrade to the current 3935 version of Evo-X?

you can acess memory card saves on evox, their in the saves manager down the very bottom, as for copying music over, if you have a ftp server up and running you can just simply copy them onto the hardrive, and play them on XBMC, im not totally sure, but i think XBMC may have a thing to copy music from cd's, but im not sure.

hope this helps
