ok heres my prob. my chip was running just fine. i was using xdsl .1 and i chose to reboot my xbox from the xdsl menu. when it rebooted there was no video when i heard the startup sound. then when the video came on it was completely black for the x3 config screen and when i booted to evox menu that took up 1/5 of my screen scrunched and no text to be read. i cant see any of the settings to see if it is in wrong video mode and my chip will not let me program any of the bios banks. i tried booting backup mode by holding both power and eject and i get nothing. i never programmed the backup bank and none of the bios banks will let me do anything. im using x3 3108 xecuter ce with the control panel. also the xapt3r solderless adapter. someone plz save my day !

Id check the install out make sure nothing came lose Im not a big fan of solderless solutions myself..... If that doesnt work try makeing a bootup disk and flashing from that get evox or another dash that alows you to flash your chip from within the dash. _________________

Just for shits sake, on boot up hold ABXY and keep holding , it is the EEPROM erase for bios' past 1959 or so, it restores the x3 to default, you may have chaged your video settings with that scrunched screen. _________________ XBOX v1.6
