ok , so ive got XDKsetup5849.exe.
Ive got VS.net and VB6.
Which complex hack bios do i need and where is the xbox dev dash.xbe found?

Convert Retail Xbox to Debug Xbox:

any debug bios will do...

I was curious if the debug mode in X3 would work for the debug bios? And allow you to run the sdk software

yes you can enable the debug bios mode in x3 config live. just make sure you have the latest bios... some of the earlier version didnt work properly.
