I have finallly got the softmod going properly now, woohoooooo!!!!
When I press eject the softmod unleashX menu comes up when I power up a custom dash comes up though I would like to get a nicer one on.
When I restore the C: backup so that I can go back onto live, is the only way to restore the MOD backup to load up the splinter celll save again?

Do you wanna change the skin of it? is so go to settings i think and look for skins.or browse around and look for the skins it's in their somewere and then if u wanna preview a skin press the "A" button and if u wannna save it i think u press "A" twice and it should save it.

yea im not to worried about the skin at the moment. Like I said im more interested in how to restore the softmod once I have restored the MS backup so that I can go onto live.
Is the only way to do it by loading up an exploit cheat or can I write something to cd which can load up from the start and then I can restore the mod backup that way?

nope you can't because a original xbox can't read copy's , so you will need to softmod it again with the safegamehack before it can read your copy.
