I think the newer XOS versions have a password protection system so people can't mess around with your chip settings and functions... I've been focusing more on the SmartXX chips as of late so not sure what exactly the procedure is.
What version XOS are you running?

Well, you got the newer version of XOS so you should have some sort of new fangled features that have to do with password protection...I'll have to see what I can dig up on it. If you can find any release notes about the 2.1.0, the 2.2.1 and the 2.3.0 I would look at the release notes and see if any mention of password protection is there. I know I read about it in some OS release notes somewhere...I swear it was the XOS...

if you find out xos dosent support password protection there is another way of locking your xbox. you can use xselect. it allows you to set a password (key pattern via xbox controller) before you can select a dash to boot. you can also choose which dash you would like to boot to (if you use multi dashboards) after the bios loads. _________________ [RIP Radio]
