Hello, i am trying to download the Xbox Music Mixer PC Tool so that i can transfer music to my xbox... and the download link here isnt working. it just hangs at 100% and at 0 seconds. any advice or an alternative download source would be welcomed

Thank you so much! I actually got it downloaded from the original link after the 4th try but thanks nonetheless. but i ran into a new problem of that i connectec my xbox directly up to my pc but when i try to transfer music over via the xbox music mixer tool, the xbox cant find my pc... weird...

Maybe that tool has some useful features (never used it) but you certainly do not need to use anything other than a FTP client like FileZilla on your PC to transfer anything to your Xbox.
Helps if your main dash has a file manager (UnleashX or XBMC/variant) but apart from that transferring MP3 files is no different to FTPing any other Xbox compatible file type.
There quite a few old Xbox apps that are now pretty much redundant.

This tool does not let you upload music to the ogXbox without running the Xbox Music Mixer application on the console.
Edit: When the PC and Xbox are connected with a network cable, does the Xbox have an IP address assigned?
What is the IP address of the PC's network port that the Xbox is connected to?
