I have a v 1.6b xbox with evox m8+ 1.6 installed, tho idk what chip it is.

I would like to use pheonix bios loader to boot into another bios like IND bios or X2, but i'm afraid that if i flash it i'd totally brick the system, i suspect the chip might be Aladdin XT2 because of the pink evox logo, also if i use xblast os it says "unsupported modchip"

How do i boot inro a bfm bios? there is no guides or documentation anywhere. When i open pbl and specified the bios bin file the screen gets garbled until i reboot the box. would appreciate a reply as soon as possible.

I would suggest downloading a iso called hexen and flashing bios through that there is super clear instructions on how to do it in the disc

XBlast OS says that for all non-XBlast Lite or Pro modchips.

Can you share a picture of your modchip?

The BIOS has to be a BFM version for a v1.6 Xbox. There are only 2 two BIOSes that work with a v1.6 console. You would need a BFM version of either M8plus_16 or x2_5035_v16plus_512k. All others will give a garbled screen since they do not support the V1.6's Xcalibur video encoder.
