Hi, I used Softmod Installer Deluxe, v 5.12 on my XBox. I was having trouble with it not connecting to the network, so I'm not sure if it was a clean or stable install.
I'd like to now use Rocky5 to update/repair it. I downloaded the latest version (v1.1.16) ran the XISO bat and created the Softmodding Tool Extras Disc following the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zdg9-ydqt8
However, I don't see the menu or tools as described in the video. (See attached image.)
Any ideas on what I can do from here?

First thing to decide is do you really need to update the softmod? You have a problem with getting the Xbox recognised by your network. Updating the softmod is unlikely to make any difference to that.
SID 5.12 should work fine and if you've installed it using the appropriate options then it can be almost as safe as Rocky5's softmod.
If you still want to go ahead and replace SID with Rocky5's Softmod then I strongly recommend you only use his own (JCRocky5) YT video tutorials not third party ones.
I know from first hand contact that he spent a lot of time on these and the tool's GUI when he first created his Xbox softmod package and their later updates. He put a lot of thought into making the process as simple and easy to use as possible.
It is always better to get the tool set itself and information on how to use it straight from the original source. Rocky5's GitHub pages (Google) is the only place you should go to for his softmodding and other recommended tools like Chimp261812.
I'm not sure why you're getting that particular skin or what that second menu item is all about but it looks to me as if something has not gone correctly either in the disc burn or the extraction.
The blue default UnleashX skin is typical of what happens if the tool's own skin files are corrupted or missing. If something like that has happened I would not trust anything else from that download either.

Thanks @ArchAngle, I went back and played with the SID 5.12 install. It was hanging when I had it on the network. I changed the network setting from 'Dashboard' to 'DHCP' and it seems to be working better.

As the guy who made SID 5.12 I can say with 100% confidence if you have issues and want to update it your best bet is to use a Babylon mod like Babylon2 6-13, Babylon2 8-13 or Babylon3 GS. You will have issues trying to use Rocky5 build to update one of my mods. Not anything wrong with his mod or anything like that but rather I set my mod up differently and his installer cant properly unmount my Shadow C or overwrite the mod due to protections I put in to prevent kids and such from accidentally screwing up a mod
If it was not obvious from my original post I still think the need to update using anything is questionable. If SID v5.12 was installed correctly and, apart from the networking issue, is working properly why dump a perfectly good softmod?
Personally what I'd do is keep the existing (retail?) HDD untouched and use Chimp261812 to clone it and then do any updating on that not the original HDD.
The networking problem is what should be addressed and that's more likely to be a settings matter with the PC/router/firewall rather than Xbox/softmod trouble.
However I will admit that I have read of some problems, although not networking ones, being fixed by reinstalling the softmod.
Up to mkenyon2 how he wants to proceed but I believe sorting out the networking problem is the better option. After all there is no guarantee updating the softmod will fix that.

Thanks guys. I got v5.12 working. Even got some emus running on it! Was just the network setting.
I tried Hugu for PC Engine games, that gave me a v-sync type issue. But the other emulators work great!

The networking issue is actually something we always had with SID, Even I got hit with it on 5 and 5.11. And to date we dont know why it happens. I will say I have never had the issue using Ndure or Babylon which leads me to believe we commented out something we shouldnt have or enabled something we shouldnt have when doing the XBEs for SID5-5.12. And I 100% agree with you ArchAngle if aint broke dont try to fix it.
