I have a soft modded original xbox that I can't find the emulator, Rome that I installed via filezilla. The files show up when connected to my computer under e on the xbox hard drive but when I check under emulator on the dashboard nothing is there. New at this and any information will be appreciated! Thanks

I forgot to mention that I'm offline. Can I do this without an internet connection?

FileZilla has a habit of disconnecting after a very short time of non-activity and can be a pain to use as a result.
One tip I have for less 'twitchy' FTPing to/from the Xbox is to use XBMC either as a main dash or as an App. It has a built in parser (if selected from XBMC's settings) and this means that a lot of the problems with certain folders/files refusing to transfer, usually because they are not FATX compliant will be avoided. Also I have found that even if FileZilla disconnects for some reason when using XBMC it will automatically reconnect successfully more often than when using the UnleashX dash.
DHCP I always have problems with when connecting PC > Xbox direct. I just can't get it to work. Through my router there are still issues and as it only has two connection sockets both already used I stick with a direct connection using a static IP (the default for the Xbox is 192.168.0.2). That also means I have to alter my PC's network settings to comply. A bit of a hassle and remember you may have to use a cross-over cable with many PCs too.
However this set up has given me the most reliable FTP connection and speed for getting stuff to the Xbox. I have tried another FTP client: CoreFTP LE and found that less prone to the disconnects than FileZilla but it has the huge disadvantage of being very slow in comparison.
The only other one generally recommended is FlashFXP. Not used it myself but apparently it is worth trying if you can't get on with FileZilla.
