Heyy, shadow heree. New to this website but not new to modding. Can we just start with a moment of of silence for xbox-scene.com it highly saddens me that all the tutorials and years of knowledge is no longer anywhere to be found.
I'm working on my first modded box in about 9 years and slowly finding out that everything is pretty hard to find now or days as far as spare parts and controllers online. Does anyone know where I can find a custom lazer etched jewel? I'd love to replace the stock jewel and do the fan spin mod. Thank you very much for your time.

Irritating xbox-scene forums went down. There was a decent amount of knowledge there. This is one of the last places you'll find devoted to original xbox modding, so you've come to the right place.
Spare parts aren't impossible to find. If you're in Canada, I can send you a link for cheap controllers just $5 each.
As far as custom jewels go, this site used to sell them to members, but they ran out of stock years ago.
You could always just take your original jewel, use household cleaning chemicals (e.g. alcohol I believe?) and make a clear jewel that way.
Sorry I can't be of more help

Thanks for the reply. Yea I was thinking of just clearing my jewel and painting the "xbox" logo on it white. I was also thinking about trying to get a jewel sized piece of glass and bring it to a glass engraving store. Thanks for your time. Lookout for a thread I will most likely start soon posting progress pictures.
