Are you sure? I have a 1.6 and it has a Samsung drive with 1.6a RAM. _________________

Its possible PAL consoles still shipped with Sammy drives. Over here Ive never seen a 1.6 with a Sammy drive (other than drive replacements) just Philips and a few HLs

My 1.6 came with a Samsung drive. I think by that point Microsoft was just throwing whatever drives they had left laying around in their consoles. _________________
