Just wondering what everyone's thoughts where on trying to build a complete archive of all original Xbox 1 Games?? The machine is slowly getting older now, and everyone knows that the dvd media wont last forever. Any thoughts? _________________ HQ Network:

Would be nice and also very hard. And we would need a new server in a nice coutry like Holland or Canada. Even though many consider XBOX games abandonware Im sure ICE/US DOJ would butt-rape the site hardcore if we hosted in our normal spot.
I do have a pretty sizeable chunk of the games out there. Around 1.5TB worth on external HDDs and another 100 or so retail games that are in good enough condition to rip

For someone who is upgrading to a newer bigger HD in their modded xbox (e.g. me), they would definitely appreciate having access to such files.
But hosting them sounds risky, which is why sites like UG are around, but unfortunately are closed to most people.
I would hate to see someone have an excuse to take down this wonderful site. I suppose one could host it on another site, but having this one say where to go would look kind of bad wouldn't it?
You guys more about the politics than I would

There is similar project on Underground-Gamer called "Complete Xbox Collection". But for typical user, access to this site and downloading are difficult (to keep ratio ~1).
I'm interested in this project here, on Xbox-HQ.
I can help and upload many games, but only via FTP or HTTP.
I can also write a simple tutorial how to quickly make an ISO (1. Copying to HDD with DVDXbox, 2. Creating ISO via FTP with Qwix).

Keep searching for suitable server locations :) _________________

We're gonna run a limited test to see what kind of reaction if any we get from Microsoft for having XISO on site. Im currently uploading a game and will be making a public announcement on the homepage so that hopefully if M$ still scans the site sees it. If they get mad we'll remove the game. If it goes by fine, no reaction then more may follow.
Please nobody try to upload any XBOX games until we've seen how this goes and what kind of bandwidth drain it puts on the site

i'm not here just minding my own beeswax!
watching this subject!
if xbox games ever do become allowed, i'll contribute what i have!
i'm not a "die-hard" xbox user but an "anything i have in my possession" user!
doubt i have a collection like the standard user here but i'll have something worth sharing!
would be nice if xbox games could be hosted from here but there's issues the big-boys have to iron out and and this little man isn't sticking his beak in on that! (still not here)
fingers crossed! _________________ to all my friends... farewell and all the best to future prosperity... and remember, be excellent to each other!

If you can, limit the bandwidth for downloading games. Then we simply leave on over night and it's done in the morning.
Downloading in the day. Ain't nobody got time for that? _________________
