My xBox was softmodded a while back with splinter cell. its been in storage for three years and i pulled it out to make it into a classic emulator/media player.when i turned it on it ask for the clock to be set so i did so.i have tryed starting it with the tray button and power button and it will only boot up into ms.i have try to play a backed up game and it wont work. i have tryed the original and it works fine.i downloaded aid v4.52 follow tuts guide and it doesnt reconize it actually says something about it make sure its clean yada yada.i have a good feeling that i wont be able to find an original copy of splinter cell anymore to reinstall the softmod.i need some advice here.unleashx and all the original files from the first time modded remain on the hard drive is there anyway i can get this to work?

Download from VIP FTP Server. Much faster and I dont personaly seed Pimped anymore so I cant control seeds or speed on it

im in that process as we speak. the only one i found was v2.7 is that going to cut it?after that i extract it and burn it are ther any other files i need to put into the .iso?

All will work fine just the later versions V4-Final and Failsafe had more stuff-Emus, Apps and dash options.

actually i understand what i have DLed is old news so im going to scrap it when i get a confirmation on my next question, between v0.4 final and the fail safe edition which one should i use out of the two?

Failsafe is final with some added knoppix coding to reduce detection failure on problem bios mainly pc with intel. All versions I've currently released use the exact same exploit only the first two aren't setup for update packs or installing anything other than unleashx for dash. If you want evox ava or xbmc for dash use final or failsafe. If unleashx is fine stick with V2. Just extract the 7.z file and follow the tut I linked you to. You may have to do a little searching but final and failsafe are both on the ftp

ok i found them and i downloaded the fail safe edition. now inj my case i want to put the eprom file into the install disk so i wont need to hot swap? also do i need to put my roms in to the specific emoulator\roms folder?

You would need to find
C:\Users\User\Desktop\Boot Disc\EEPROM
Then cop and paste the eeprom.bin into that folder
And you can put the roms in F or G depending on how you partion your hdd, you can click on Y when your selecting your rom and select the destination from the Emulato Hit it twice I believe and it will show your root directories.

thats what i figured thanks but wow i didnt know you have to swap ide cables for this to work is there any other way to not have to do this.im running on a laptop so i will need something to go from ide to usb?

Ok i had a go with it but unfortunitly no dice. i believe its due to the fact that i dont have a desktop to use so i can disconnect the master HD and that linux probably doesnt reconize usb. i booted to cd/dvd drive choose option 3 and type the command "unlock -a" it couldn't find the password on cd-rom. like i mentioned above is there a alternate resolution?

Theres no F or G with Pimped all ROMS go into the Emus ROMS folder in the F folder of the Install Disc
