I softmoded my xbox some time ago it is currently runing dual boot evox/ms dash. I bought a new western digatl 500gb harddrive and used xboxhdm 2.2 to build a new hard drive from scrach and got errore code 21 so i tried building on using ndur and it then froze at the xbox logo screen have tried both methoeds severl times and chimps won work cause all i get is a black screen when i run it. any ideals as to what my problem may be any help would be much apprciated. sorry wrong form will repots

When it comes to a HDD upgrade/Mod heres what you want (IMO)
Or if having Evox is a must then PM me and I'll send you the torrent file for V4, I just ask that you report back on your experience with it and what version your XBOX is
This is what cause error 21 (taken from Afterdawn.com)

This error says that the machine was booted to display a error, basically someone told the machine to reboot (or launch a xbe) with this flag, and the error code just means its been rebooted by the flag
This occurs frequently when the xbox is unable to boot due to dashboard changes being made (ie Gcue true blue hasnt been resigned, parts of the stock dash are missing - incomplete FTP backups copied to a new HDD for example).

so this can build a new harddrive and softmode it and lock it then just stick it iin the xbox not sure what version number mine is its the halo edition xbox

If you use V1 or 2 its been fully tested on all XBOX versions. It will mod and install unleashx dash, XBMC plus a bunch of other apps and emulators and lock your HDD if you have the EEPROM. Its the exact same as building a drive only this mods and installs apps etc at the same time
V3 and V4 have not been fully tested on all XBOX versions which is why if you want to try 1 of them I like to know what version your xbox is. Once the mod is done just click on softmod menu and it will tell you what version it is.
Also please note these are NTSC mods if you have a PAL XBOX you will need to do some advanced editing to use it which I dont reccomend.

No this is unleashx only. V1 and V2 were kept simple, Unleashx dash and XBMC as an app (all apps and Emus are installed to E) i recomend watching the videos in the thread. you type yes a few times lock the drive, all done When I clocked it out it takes 90 seconds longer than a game save mod. Between here and Seedpeer (where the torrents are actualy hosted) theyve been downloaded over 400 times and I have yet to have a complaint other than on V1 it wouldnt boot if you had ethernet plugged in but worked fine if you plugged it in after booting, which was fixed on V2
Once V4 is released I will be putting out an update pack for it that allows XBMC as dash. Currently its Evox, Ava or UnleashX but as I said its not fully tested yet. Im still waiting to hear back from some people hopefully by this weekend.

if it uses xbox hdm dont know if it will work i alway set error that it cant load linuxs cd but im still gonna give it a try

Use DVDs for it Ive had 0 succes using CDs with XBOXHDM. Plus this wont fit on a CD. Its been compressed to about 50% of its original size for faster download.

You should have a good experience its fully tested and I havent had a single bug report back yet on it.
